Aluminium decking bearers
All our aluminium decking bearers and support beams are non-combustible and specially designed for use with Adek boards.

Aluminium pedestals
We offer a complete range of fully adjustable pedestals to meet the needs of your deck. Our non-combustible aluminium pedestals work with all sizes of Adek boards, reaching a maximum height of around 450mm.
Head diameter: 80mm
Base diameter: 100mm
A spreader plate will also help to distribute the load of the decking system. Please speak to us for more advice.

What components do I need for an aluminium decking frame?
To create a reliable and robust aluminium decking frame, you need:
- Bearers (also known as ‘support beams’)
- Pedestals
- Specialist screws
If boards are ‘ripped’ during installation (to achieve a custom length or fit), support legs can be fitted to the boards to complete them. While legs are an optional extra, we recommend that they are used to achieve a professional and neat finish.
Can aluminium decking be fixed with any screw?
No, only specific aluminium decking screws are suitable to fix boards made from this material. These screws are specifically designed to prevent corrosion, as well as noise disturbances (for example, when the deck is walked on or exposed to harsh weather conditions, such as wind).
Can aluminium decking be installed over concrete?
Yes, you can install an aluminium deck over concrete. Remember the following:
- Where two joists meet end-to-end, a double bearer must be installed to ensure sufficient frame strength.
- For uneven or sloping concrete bases, our adjustable height aluminium pedestals are ideal. Simply change the height of the pedestal to achieve the desired deck height.
- Adek boards can be fitted flat for a smooth finish.

What are aluminium trims used for?
Aluminium corner trims hide exposed edges, ensuring your deck has a high-quality finish.

Are aluminium components non-combustible?
All boards and components in our Adek range are non-combustible. The Adek system has undergone independent third-party testing to BS EN 13501-1: 2018 and has been classified at A2fl-s1 & A2-s1, d0.
Our Adek aluminium decking system is non-combustible, doesn’t create flaming droplets, and has weak or absent smoke emissions.
