Looking for guidance on keeping your newly-installed deck in tip-top condition? You’re in the right place.

The boards in our composite deck kits don’t require any treatment or paint and are easy to clean:

  1. Remove all furniture and items from the deck.
  2. Sweep the decking (including any grooves and gaps) to remove leaves and other debris.
  3. Use a soft mop and warm water to wipe away any remaining debris.
  4. Rinse the deck with a hosepipe.
  5. Leave the decking to dry before returning any furniture or accessories.

Decking kit FAQs

Do I need to fasten my composite deck boards with clips or screws?

Whether your deck needs fastening with clips or screws depends on the type of deck boards you’re installing, as well as the finish you’re after.

For invisible fixings, look no further than our hidden composite deck clips. Easily clip them into the grooves of your boards for decking with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Prefer a traditional look? Use stainless steel screws to replicate the appearance of timber decking. Our deck screws are suited to our uncapped collections and are offered with colour-matching heads to complement the tones of our deck boards.

Our guide goes into more detail about the difference between the fastenings: Composite decking screws and clips: A complete guide.

Is composite decking easy to install?

How easy you find installing composite decking depends on your experience. Of course, our specialist decking installers will find it much easier to successfully install a new deck than a first-time DIYer

If that’s you, then don’t panic – our composite decking kit is here to make the installation process as easy as possible. Complete with all the components and instructions you need, you’ll have your deck set up and ready to enjoy in no time. With the correct tools, you should be able to have your deck finished in a day.
