As part of Taylor Wimpey’s mixed-use development at Wick Lane, London, sub-contractor Nobel House expertly installed Adek 295mm aluminium deck boards on built-in and bolt-on balconies across six storeys.
The project, completed during the Spring and Summer of 2020, faced tight schedules where every moment on-site was crucial. Taylor Wimpey required a high-rise decking solution that not only complied with stringent building regulations (BS EN 13501-1: 2018) but also allowed for swift and efficient installation.
The Adek 295mm aluminium deck boards proved to be the ideal choice. Their extra-wide design, combined with straightforward face-fixings, enabled rapid installation on the built-in balconies.
For the bolt-on balconies, Adek showcased its versatility. The innovative fixing channels allowed the boards to accommodate eye bolts for lifting the balconies into place. Once secured, the eye bolts were removed, and the channel covers snapped into position, ensuring a sleek and professional finish.
The Adek system’s efficiency, durability, and compliance with building standards made it an essential component of the Wick Lane project, delivering a stylish and practical solution for modern high-rise living.
