Roof café renovation by Peldon Rose

Café with specialist composite decking

Design and build company, Peldon Rose was tasked with creating a nautical themed rooftop café for the Office Space in Town (Monument), the design of which featured decking to emulate the feel of a luxury sailing vessel.

This decking needed to be robust and able to endure full exposure to the elements without fading, shrinking, or expanding, as well as being easy to maintain. After researching potential products, Peldon Rose specified our Signature AT ribbed and grooved decking collection.

The initial design was for Signature AT to run seamlessly from outside into the cafe. However, hygiene regulations meant decking with open gaps could not be used within the café, due to food and drink being spilled and being inaccessible for cleaning.

Luckily we were able to offer an alternative deck board – Stadia – a collection which has no gaps and therefore is perfect for hospitality venues. Both collections were available in the same Pebble Grey colour, which helped to create the seamless flow from interior to exterior.

What our customer says:

“We were extremely impressed by Ecodek’s customer service. They offered guidance and advice when we came across the issue within the café and its range of deck boards enabled us to overcome the problem and still create the aesthetic we wanted.

Our client is very happy with the finished project, and we would not hesitate to use Ecodek again.”
