Signature HD Installation at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Sutton Coldfield

The Belfry is one of the best known hotel and resort destinations in the country, recognised for creating spaces that feel calm, welcoming and beautifully put together – something that becomes apparent as soon as you step into the foyer.

When the team began work on their new leisure facility, they wanted every part of the environment to feel considered. The project brought together a gym, swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi, all designed to give guests a sense of ease from the moment they arrive. For the outdoor areas, they needed decking that would look good, feel solid underfoot and stand up to constant movement and changing weather. They chose Ecodek’s Signature HD boards in Slate Grey, a choice that balanced appearance, durability and value for money.

The installation was delivered by Elliott Group, who were responsible for shaping the new leisure space. Their Project Manager, Paddy O’Connor, worked closely with the Ecodek team throughout. He explained that the decking needed to be strong enough for a busy commercial setting, simple for the installation team to work with and ready on a tight schedule. Signature HD met all three requirements. The boards have a deeper profile that performs well in high footfall areas, and the solid core gives a reassuring sense of strength. The reversible ribbed or grooved finish allowed the team to choose the look that suited the space, and the boards could be screwed down like traditional timber which made installation straightforward. Anti slip inserts were available where needed, and the boards arrived on site within a few days which kept the project moving.
