UK Construction Week
UK Construction week took place last week at the NEC in Birmingham, The show is the largest built environment event.
The event brings together all stakeholders within the built environment across every facet of design, build and product innovation.
The event also encourages industry groups and communities to organise networking events at the show.
Sustainability was also one of the main themes for this year’s show and how we work to be more sustainable check out the link below on sustainability tips.
Last week was certainly a busy week for various members of the Ecodek team especially Felicity Hodgkinson, Marketing Manager as she has been involved with all of the planning and arrangements leading up to the show.
Our Sales Specification Manager, Rachel Hitchin delivered a presentation on sustainable outdoor flooring and why sustainable materials like ecodek are so valuable.
This was my first time I had attended UK Construction Week and it was a totally great experience and I thoroughly enjoyed networking.
The stand looked really professional and it was great to hear last Thursday that we were awarded the Most Sustainable Stand as voted by the show’s visitors. Our new award takes pride and place in our award stand in our Reception area.
We all had the opportunity to meet new and existing customers face to face, which for me was quite a change as normally I am in the office speaking to customers over the phone.
It was also a good opportunity to promote our new product Adek at the show and this generated a lot of interest and potential leads.
At one point I had a walk around all of the halls where there was a hive of activity. I had a chance to look at the various different material suppliers. I saw many hubs delivering various workshops and seminars taking place and at one point I spotted George Clark from Amazing Spaces who was there to present the UKCW Awards.
There is a real buzz around the Sales Team and we are all looking forward to attending Futurebuild in Spring 2020.
