Covid 19 update 5th January 2021
With the announcement by the government of the New National Lockdown, the guidance states that the manufacturing and construction sectors may continue to operate.

We are, therefore, pleased to confirm that we will be continuing to operate as a business, with appropriate Covid safety measures in place during this period to support our customers and the wider industry supply chain.

The health and safety of our customers, suppliers and employees remains our top priority so we will continue to monitor the situation over the coming weeks, but at this stage we see no reason to change our manufacturing, distribution or service activities.

We encourage all staff, customers and suppliers to fully observe all recommended safe operating procedures and, in particular, the wearing of masks, social distancing and regular hand washing.

Recycle Week and Ecodek

Environmental sustainability is always on our minds at Ecodek towers and this week we have been fully supporting Recycle Week which this year runs from 23rd to 29th September.

Recycle Week is a celebration of recycling, which is organised by WRAP under the Recycle Now brand.  The aim of the week is to encourage the public to recycle, more by demonstrating the benefits of recycling items from all around the home.

In 2018, Recycle Week had the support of 80 business partners including Aldi, Tesco, Quorn Danone and many other local authorities across the country.  Check out the following link to revisit Recycle Week 2018.

This year’s theme will be ‘Recycling. It’s in our own hands’ and sustainability is firmly on the national agenda where the public are looking for organisations to help solve major environmental issues.   This is the year we should be all looking to take action and change our behaviors.

Every day at Ecodek towers we are looking to changing our recycling habits and this May also saw us join TerraCycle.  This recycling scheme is working well for everyone and is in use every day by the team.  To join the TerraCycle Scheme click on the following link for further details.

Did you know that 136 million 4 pint recycled plastic milk bottles have been consumed in the manufacture of ecodek® material since the company began operating in 2002!

Let’s not forget that more than 95% of all the raw materials we use are from recycled and sustainably sourced streams, and the product is 100% recyclable.

Our exclusive waste buy back scheme allows us to buy your off-cuts and unused ecodek® wood polymer composite decking, saving you money and helping the environment.

If you are looking for your organisation to join Recycle Week as a partner for this year’s campaign they can download a partner pack from their Resource Library.

However big or small, any changes you can make can have a real impact on the planet.  We should all definitely be making recycling the new norm and support, encourage and inspire others to do the same.

So give recycling a go and be a recycling champion!  Rinse, crush, squash, sort and separate.  It’s Simple!
