The Open Championship and Ecodek – Annual Partnership 2018
It’s this time of the year, it is time for The Open Championship!
This year it’s coming back to the beautiful Carnoustie on the coast of Scotland. Last time The Open Championship was hosted in Carnoustie was 11 years ago in 2007, and it was Pádraig Harrington who lifted the Claret Jug. The golf course in Carnoustie is considered to be one of the British finest, but also challenging. Practice days and with the first day of The Open are behind us, and there is more to come!
One of the proud sponsors of The Open is HSBC, which have opened a special branch in Carnoustie, in the Spectator Village, and we are proud to say that we have supplied HSBC with our composite decking to be built as a walkway and terraces, in fact we have been supplying HSBC with our product for the past 6 years!
ecodek® always puts safety first, that’s why our decking has some of the highest ratings for the “low potential for slip”, especially with the recent thunderstorms, and looks like we’ll be getting more rain within upcoming days. However sometimes, there is a need for some extra slip resistance, that’s why we have partnered with Gripsure®, who specialise in anti-slip inserts.
Together, we have created a product, which is not only visually pleasing and slip resistant, but also extra security for use on ramps, where slip potential can be critical! This extra addition to the safety measures is there to ensure, that everyone attending The Open Championship can enjoy themselves with minimalised hazards!
