Decorate Your Decking Area This Christmas

(eco) dek the halls
When it comes to ecodek a lot of people tend to get the wrong impression about how winter friendly it can truly be. Although a finished ecodek project is certainly more than just for Christmas we see no reason why, despite the cold weather, it still can’t be decorated and enjoyed over the festive period. As a result, we have compiled a list of the best ‘deckorations’ on the market that can be used to give your decking area that special festive touch. After all, it’s tradition to deck your halls so why not move the tradition outside and deck your ecodek as well? ecodek is sharing the latest tips on how to decorate your decking area this Christmas.
Chiminea
Not only is the price of this item greatly reduced over the festive period but it is a great way of illuminating a decking area that may otherwise go unnoticed in these dark winter nights. Light a Chiminea on your ecodek during a Christmas party and give it the warm festive glow that it truly deserves while also finding a use for all of the unwanted ripped-up timber decking from your previous deck that you’ve been dying to get rid of!
Cardinals
Nothing says Christmas better than a flock of Cardinals congregating in the backyard. If these adorable red birds tend not to frequent your area fear not as statues of them can be easily purchased that add the same festive spark to your deck as the real thing, without leaving any of the mess!
Christmas tree
This one may seem a little obvious but as Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone 2 so eloquently put it; “How can you have Christmas without a Christmas tree?” We personally think that a nicely decorated Christmas tree in the corner of a deck is the perfect festive touch and in clear weather you could even use an artificial model.
Garland
Hanging some Garland between the posts and railings of your ecodek is an easy and affordable way of giving your deck a fun and festive aura. Colours such as green, gold and red will go down a treat and hanging a few weatherproof ornaments in the spaces will only add to the decorative fun.
