Building Research Establishment (BRE) and Ecodek.

Here at Ecodek we always ensure to provide the highest quality products and the highest quality services. We strive to be the best in the industry, and we appreciate when other companies in the building industry aim for sustainability. At Ecodek we set our environmental credentials and sustainability of most crucial importance for our brand. When a chance appeared to collaborate with Building Research Establishment, we did not hesitate, as it’s a privilege to be part of BRE Innovation Park.

Building Research Establishment is a world leading and multi-disciplinary building science centre, which objective is to improve buildings and infrastructure. Their Innovation Park feature a full-scale demonstration buildings that have been developed by industry partners. The aim of this exhibition is to showcase materials, technologies and designs, which addresses the development facing regions across the world. The Innovation Park is also used for research and testing, which allows BRE to conduct independent research, which is then used to improve buildings and infrastructure. Their research is used in order to create standards and qualifications, which will help ensure buildings, homes and communities are safe, efficient and sustainable. We asked Mr. John O’Brien, an Associate Director of BRE for a short comment about our collaboration,

BRE are delighted to be showcasing Ecodek’s low maintenance solid composite decking boards – a beautiful, sustainable alternative to timber, that offers long life, low maintenance, and high slip resistance – a great addition to the BRE Innovation Park

Additionally a word from our Sales Manager, Mrs. Angela Hind,

“We at Ecodek are delighted to work alongside BRE and see the partnership between our two organisations as a great “fit”. Ecodek is very proud to be a market leader in the wood polymer composite market and continue to maintain our excellent eco credentials within the manufacturing processes at the factory in North Wales. We look forward to progressing our relationship with the team at BRE.”

As we previously mentioned, Ecodek greatly values our eco credentials, which is why our products are made out of recycled HDPE plastics, and wood fibres are taken only from certified sustainable areas. Our composite decking, and composite substructure is also 100% recyclable. Manufacture of our products is a carbon negative process, which is a huge achievement in this industry.
