A Beginner’s Guide to Fitting an ecodek Composite Deck – Part 2

composite deck substructure

So you’ve successfully ordered your ecodek® composite deck but what’s next?
Now all you have to do is sit back, close your eyes and imagine unwinding on your alternative living space. That is of course until your products are ready to leave our factory!

Once your products are ready, our Transport and Logistics Team will drop you a call a couple of days before you are due to receive your goods, to discuss and organise your delivery requirements.

Not only do we want your finalised project to be a relaxing and enjoyable space, but we also want the process to run as smoothly as possible which is why we always advise to have a couple of extra hands available whilst unloading your goods.
So, now you have your goods you’re ready to go!

Firstly you need to lay your support beams; either a tanalised softwood (150mm x 50mm) or ecodek substructure (38mm x 88mm)  but remember to space your beams no wider than 455mm apart!

And then you’re ready to lay your boards!

Now you’re one step closer to relaxing on your dream deck, so remember to check back with us next week to learn how easy it is to lay your ecodek boards and appropriate fixings!
