CEO of Olympic Delivery Authority visits Ecodek

Ecodek has now been specified for a substantial area of flooring in the main stadium itself and also for numerous projects within the Athlete’s Village.
John Armitt (Olympic Delivery Authority CEO) has even visited us personally to get a better understanding of how Ecodek is manufactured and how we process the recycled raw materials within the manufacturing process.

One of the episodes will feature Elleray Prep School in Windermere where the classroom pods have been connected using Ecodek.

Ecodek was chosen for this project for many reasons, amongst others:

Its ‘child freindliness’ – being much more slip resistant than normal timber decking and not having to worry about splinters.

Eco-credentials – Ecodek is 95% recylced.

Contemporary looks – Ecoded wood plastic decking looks very modern and smart and gives a quality feel to any project.

This garden was entirely made from recycled and re-used materials, and once again, David chose Ecodek as the flooring for his display.

With children, safety is a priority.

When Ewloe primary school landscaped their outdoor area, they wanted a decking product that could offer them the safety and durability factors they needed.

Ecodek has even made its way into London Zoo!

When it was time for a total refurbishment of the tropical bird house, the architects responsible for the renovation project searched for a flooring material that was not only easy to clean, highly durable (because of the high volume of foot traffic it would be subject too), but also one that would withstand the high humidity and constant stream of water running over it and yet still remain slip resistant.

Ecodek once again came to the rescue and fulfilled all their needs, and apparently, the tropical birds are singing its praises too!
