Welcome To Advent – 2017
The first Sunday of Advent takes place this week on the 3rd December and leads us towards Christmas.
If you are looking for that last minute advent calendar, you will pleased to know that the cheap and grainy chocolate ones have now been replaced with an assortment of alcoholic tipples, beauty products galore and even a Lego advent calendar this year for the kids. Check out this sprout calendar called Eat Your Greens for those allotment fans out there! Or even better, why not make an effort to be environmentally friends and create your own out of recyclable waste.
Our feature photo for this week’s blog is via Top Inspired.com and is of a Mini Forest Christmas Advent Calendar made out of origami paper and mini paper cups. If you are looking to make your own DIY advent calendar, we share with you a couple of great ideas.
Just to keep you posted that the last ecodek® deliveries for 2017 will be made on Thursday 21st December and the last dispatch date for 2017 is Wednesday 20th December.
Please note that our Christmas Shutdown will run from Friday 22nd December until Tuesday 2nd January 2018.
We have got some great festive blogs lined up for you in the next couple of weeks which include ideas on Christmas gift buying, recipes, Secret Santa, Christmas Jumper Day and also not forgetting an update of our James Bond themed Christmas party which takes place on 2nd December. The Ecodek team are very much looking forward to it, with some people dressing up as Bond himself and a couple as Bond’s Villains. It’s bound to be a great night with casino games and (a few other surprises) providing the entertainment at this year’s party. Shaken not stirred – so watch this space!
I’ll leave you this week with a great idea for Christmas decorations – a Christmas lantern made out of those recycled plastic bottles – check out this link on how to create.
How are you starting off with your festivities? We’d love to hear from you – Leave us a comment in the comments field below.
