Lelde Moving Onto Pastures New
It’s sad to see staff leave and last week we said goodbye to Lelde Latkovska, Finance Manager. With a wealth of experience and wonderful relationship with everyone, Lelde has been a great colleague and friend who will be sorely missed at ecodek® towers.
So let’s rewind …..
The year is 2012, Manchester City win the Premier League, Chelsea win the European Cup and London hosts the 2012 Summer Olympics.
In September 2012 Lelde joined us as a Site Accountant. At that time, ecodek® was a smaller business and our site was at Viscount House, River Lane, Saltney in Chester.
Lelde went on to to become a Project Manager in 2014 and was responsible for upgrading the accounting systems to an all fully integrated Sage package including the introduction of our sales System.
Lelde has witnessed so many changes during her time at ecodek® towers and has always been a dedicated, hardworking employee. She has always been totally committed to the business and turning it into the success of what it has become today.
During the last couple of years Lelde worked really hard on advancing her skills by undertaking various CIMA examinations which she had passed.
Lelde has decided to return to Riga in Latvia, her home. She will be closer to her local friends and family and hopes to continue working in the city of Riga in a financial role.
The leaving celebrations kicked off last Friday when some of the team went for a meal at the Chinese Buffett restaurant in Wrexham. There were plenty of dishes to choose from – you could say we were all spoilt for choice. The duck pancakes are a must with soy sauce and spring onions!
Some members of the team (including myself) went on to party like it was 1999 and enjoyed some of the local night life for some giggle juice.
We also decided to do our very own version of YMCA as pictured below in homage to Paul Anderson, ecodek® Maintenance Manager who couldn’t make the big night out as he was attending an 80’s musical festival and had decided to dress up as one of the Village People.
ecodek® towers has seen some changes too, during shutdown week our showroom had a slight makeover. As soon as you walk into the Showroom now you feel like you are in the big city of London with its fresh new look walls. We are really pleased with it and have had some great feedback so far from our customers when they call past to collect a sample pack or discuss their projects with us.
As well as the showroom if you are coming to collect you order directly from us at ecodek® towers you should be able to find us easier as our new look tank has turned green as well as our white ecodek® logo which stands out from the main road.
We would like to wish Lelde all the very best for the future, genuinely it’s going to be strange without her here at ecodek® towers.
