A Fond Farewell to Alex Collins and William Midwood
Ecodek towers bade a fond farewell to Alex Collins, Technical Director/co-founder of ecodek and William Midwood, Sales Director last Friday evening. Our former Vannplastic Shareholders have now left the business.
Alex Collins created the ecodek product at the very beginning and with the help of the other shareholders they have turned Ecodek into a successful business, so without Alex we wouldn’t be where we are today.
William Midwood has worked extremely hard over the years to build up the strong ecodek brand that we have today, and the close relationships we enjoy with our existing and loyal Ecodek customer base. We will definitely miss William’s charismatic character at Ecodek Towers.
The leaving party took part at local golf club nearby Ecodek towers and all the team raised a glass or two to toast William and Alex.
The celebrations were in full swing and a presentation took place where both William and Alex said a couple of words and opened their leaving presents, including a copy of the leaving poem that I prepared and read out to them.
William’s present was a lovely portrait of his best friend Brussell, a gorgeous Golden Labrador who was his constant companion and in turn our office mascot. Brussell even had a blog feature a couple of years ago. The level of detail was amazing and was painted by Rachel Farr from Restless Hare, a local artist who paints nature-inspired, mixed media paintings and sculptures.
As Alex has recently relocated to a property in the hills of North Wales, we looked for gift inspiration in the activities he hopes to enjoy with his family. A full bee keeping suit, gauntlets, smoker and reference book seemed the perfect solution!
The British Bee Keeping Association gives you an introduction on how to become a beekeeper. Check on these tips on how to get started.
We already really miss Alex and William and wish them both the very best of luck in the future in their new ventures.
